Course overview

A training course for organisations with staff who care for older people in their own homes or prepare food for older people in community settings (not residential homes).

The training aims to pass on some simple delivery skills and knowledge to enable managers to lead training with their care teams, specifically around:

the signs of malnutrition & dehydration in older people living in their own homes.

the application of simple nutritional advice in the preparation, cooking and serving of tasty snacks and meals suitable to help someone at risk.

What Next?

To continue to develop knowledge in this area individuals will be asked to attend the Hydration & Nutrition Course available in the Adults programme and also mentor other team members to ensure provision of a high quality service.
