Eligibility - You must be aged 19+ and live in West Yorkshire.

Dates: Start dates from 25th November until September 2023

Duration: Three days per week 10.00 am - 3.00pm, for three weeks with some self-directed study

Venue: Blended learning with classroom learning taking place in Leeds

Course overview

You will gain the knowledge essential to the health and social care sector, supporting your progression into further learning or workplace opportunities. 

The course will include some of the following topics:

Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care

The aim is to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of equality, diversity and rights in health and social care.

Safeguarding in health and social care

The aim is to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of safeguarding in health and social care.

Protection of children, young people and adults in health and social care

The aim is to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of protecting children, young people and adults in health and social care.

Personal and professional development

The aim is to provide learners with knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to personal and professional development.

Empowerment in health and social care

The aim is to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of empowerment in health and social care.

What next?

Upon achievement of this training, you will be able to progress onto a higher level role or further learning within the health and social care sector.
