Course overview
Learning:
Develop in-depth skills in virtual production and mixed realities. Including:
- Hands on in the XPLOR Virtual Production Studio
- Software and IT programming skills
- Motion-capture and mixed reality technology
Suitability:
This course is suitable for everyone, there are no pre-requisites.
It should be noted that this course is delivered in English, and as such a translator would be required if you do not speak and read English. This is not provided.
Course Sections:
Week 1: Introduction to VP
Weeks 2-6: Developing a virtual environment in Unreal Engine
Weeks 7-9: Pathways: one choice from three available pathways:
- Creative and Management
- Advanced Environment Design
- Technical and Cinematography
Weeks 10-12: Group projects – ‘’shoot groups’. Making a VP short film
Weeks 13-14: Final interviews and completion
What Next?
- Further learning through a degree or additional courses
- An entry level position on a filmset
- An entry level position in a VFX company
