I'm taking part in a Transport Planning Technician apprenticeship, for 3 years from the 31^st of October 2022.

I assist the transport planning team in writing strategic assessments for schemes from the districts.

I wanted to do an apprenticeship as I wanted to study and gain qualification alongside gaining experience and applying that learning in a job relevant to the qualification.

If you are someone considering an apprenticeship, I would say go for it!  As someone who enjoys applying learning in a practical manner and not being purely academic, an apprenticeship is absolutely the best thing to do.

I’ve enjoyed meeting apprentices from across the UK on my course, people in both similar roles in local governments and private consultancies.
