This course is designed to provide a grounding in management and leadership theory. This training has been designed to enhance practical skills in managing people to effectively deliver team objectives as well as contributing more fully to the wider organisation.

Duration: The course is delivered over a six week period Monday and Friday between 9am-4pm

Course overview
Who is this course aimed at?
Individuals employed within the Hospice and Health & Care Sector who are either new to supervision/team leadership or have the desire to progress into a more senior role. Returners with previous Hospice or Health Care setting experience.
Modules covered:
- Leadership Styles
- Motivational and engagement skills
- Communication skills
- Managing Change – In uncertain environments
- Finance for non-financial managers
- Time management, including workload and stress management
- Confidence building, self-awareness and career development
- Effective delegation and negotiation
The modules will be delivered using practical examples and scenarios from hospice and care settings.
