Eligibility: You must live in West Yorkshire and must be aged 19 or older:
- on or before 31st August 2023 for Skills Bootcamps starting between 01 April 2024 and 31st July 2024
- on or before 31st August 2024 for Skills Bootcamps starting between 01 August 2024 and 31st March 2025.
Dates: 13th January 2025.

Overview/summary of training
The Skills Bootcamp in ESOL Tutor Training is a 10-week course designed to give you the teaching skills needed to start your journey in ESOL education. With 5 hours per week of in-person classroom learning and 5 hours of independent study, you’ll gain practical experience and theoretical knowledge to prepare for real-world teaching environments.

This Skills Bootcamp in ESOL Tutor Training is designed to provide you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to teach English to speakers of other languages (ESOL). Through a blend of interactive lectures, practical teaching practice, and online learning, you will gain a strong understanding of teaching methods, lesson planning, and learner assessment. Suitable for those looking to start or progress in a career in ESOL teaching, this course also provides participants with the opportunity to apply for further qualifications such as the Level 5 ESOL Apprenticeship.

Upon completion, participants will be awarded the Ascentis Level 3 Award in English for Literacy and Language Teaching.
