Overview/summary of training
The course is suitable for anyone with a passion to work in Early Education giving children the best start in life. Whether you have previous experience of working with young children, are looking for a career change or beginning your career journey, the Skills Bootcamp in Early Years will provide a firm foundation to move onto paid employment in the sector.
Course units include:
- Understanding the key principles of safeguarding and child protection.
- Recognising the value of play in Early Years and its impact on learning.
- Understanding the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework.
- Fostering personal, social and emotional development in young children.
- Developing children’s early maths & literacy skills.
- Supporting speech, language and communication in young children.
- Meeting the needs of all children, including those with SEND.
What next?
On completion of the course, you could gain employment in a primary school, nursery or preschool, out of school club or become a childminder. Whether you’re looking for part-time or full-time employment or an apprenticeship, the Skills Bootcamp in Early Years will help launch your career in Early Years.
