Course overview
You will develop proficiency in digital communication, productivity and competency in essential digital tools.
The course is structured around three core units of:
- Digital Foundations for Work
- Productivity Using IT
- Word Processing
- Database Software
Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, you will gain the confidence and competence to leverage digital technologies effectively in their professional lives. The course emphasises real-world applications, problem-solving, and the development of transferable skills that are vital in today's digital-first work environments.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in using digital tools for communication, collaboration, and productivity.
- Utilise appropriate software to enhance work efficiency and solve complex problems.
- Utilise essential word processing techniques to produce well-structured, professionally formatted documents suitable for various business purposes.
- Demonstrate the ability to combine various digital tools and techniques to complete complex, multi-faceted projects that mirror real-world work scenarios.
- Critically evaluate personal digital skills, identify areas for self-improvement, and develop strategies for continuous learning in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
- Plan, create, and manipulate data to organise information and provide insightful data visualisations.
What next?
You will be equipped with the skills to undertake a range of new duties which could lead to a new role or promotion within an existing role. This could include Data Admin, Excel Admin and Database Administrator activities.
